Recently, I did a spring clean of my books. Amongst them were several titles that had been sitting on my shelves unread, but I hadn’t been able to bring myself to throw them out. Do you have books like that on your shelves?

All of us do.

I wonder if amongst them is the bestselling book of all time—the Bible. Like many of my unread books it sits there unopened, dusty; but you haven’t been able to bring yourself to throw it out.

Have you ever considered reading it for yourself, as an adult?

If it’s just make-believe, well, at the very least it might be an interesting read.

But if, as Christians claim, it has words of life; well, that’s worth as least dusting it off and having a look, isn’t it?

Why not give it a try?
