Get ready for Brooklyn 99 season 5

There are so many great shows on television right now. It really is a golden age. But if you haven’t watched the hilarious Brooklyn Nine-Nine you definitely need to check out the first 3 seasons on Netflix.

For those keeping up with the show, it’s been a very long summer waiting to see what will happen to Jake and Rosa during their time in prison for a crime they did not commit. And while we’ll have to wait until the end of the month to see the first episode of the season ( From 26 September on SBS Viceland and iTunes) you can always binge-watch season four.

Creator Dan Goor recently admitted at the end of season four the writers had written two of his main characters into quite the corner with the cliffhanger.

“I don’t know if there was so much a debate of whether it was too dark in the moment, but I was and am nervous about what it implies for next season, although I can tell you that today was Day 1 (of the writers beginning work on season five), and we already have some fun, funny ideas. But of all the cliffhangers we’ve had — of all the big game-changers we’ve put Jake in the Nine-Nine through — this one feels like the most difficult to extricate ourselves from.”

Tim Meadows and Lou Diamond Phillips will guest star, Meadows as Jake’s cellmate and Phillips as the man with power Jake has to impress in the yard. Also, Charles has new hair because his real hair turned white due to stress.

Hopefully these small details help tide you over while we wait for the season five premiere on 26 September.
