Reel Dialogue’s family movie classics

We recently put together a list of classic films for people to consider for viewing and expanding their cinematic life experience. (Link included below) The only negative response to this list was that it did not contain many family films.

Fair enough, we took up the challenge and started compiling a list of films. The only difficulty was knowing when to stop. There are so many great family films throughout movie history that getting it down to a manageable list proved problematic and caused some debate. In the end, we did include ‘modern classics’ on the list, because some many of them are too good to exclude.

After some careful evaluation and elimination of some sequels, we have managed to get this list down to 40.

See what you think. Enjoy some time as a family. See how you could have some great conversations together. Send us your favourites and potential additions.
