The as-yet untitled Bond 25 film has its James Bond. After a year of speculation over who would play Bond and at one time or another most male leads having been suggested, it is is finally confirmed.
After stringing fans of the series along since the release of Spectre and publicly saying he’s done with the franchise, Daniel Craig will return in Bond 25.
And this is possibly the best thing that can happen to the franchise becuase Craig is single-handedly responsible for the series biggest box office takings to date.
With Skyfall being the franchise skyrocket at the box office and Casino Royale heralding a more hard-core Bond to the screen, the films that have starred Craig have undoubtedly been the franchise most accomplished films. Perhaps it was only Quantam of Solace that didn’t set the box office on fire, but the four films he has starred in have taken well and truly over a billion at the box office.
Daniel Craig confirmed tonight on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that he’s on board for one more 007 adventure, and will in fact star in Bond 25 for the very patient folks at Eon Productions.
Of course fans of Craig and James Bond have got a little longer to wait until Bond 25 arrives in cinemas on 9 November 2019.
