Reel Dialogue began in 2006 after its founder – Adrian Drayton – received mentoring from Robert K. Johnston who wrote the early primer for faith and film in dialogue with his book Reel Spirituality.
Subsequently encouraged to run a conference on about film and faith and then engage in facilitation with Church groups around how they could analyse film through the lens of the gospel, Reel Dialogue and its resources have grown to be associated with City Bible Forum since 2012.
This partnership has been the perfect fit for Reel Dialogue as Russ Matthews has taken the reigns and continues facilitation with Church groups, moderating film and discussion events as part of the overall outreach strategy for City Bible Forum, does on-air radio reviews and writes extensively for a number of publications including his own blog Russelling Reviews.
